While the NAACP has a responsibility as a nationally recognized nonprofit to refrain from partisan political activities, the organization's mission also gives it the responsibility to educate the community about our political environment. The Branch does this through its Political Action Committee.
This committee organizes and hosts Candidate Forums before each election. These are opportunities for everyone in Carroll County to meet and question the candidates for elected office. These events help to bring clarity to voters' decisions about their elected officials.
